Staff Director (Shetland College UHI)
Andrew has worked in a variety of roles in public, private and third sector organisations, throughout his working life. He has always had a very keen interest in, and commitment to, ensuring education and learning is accessible, inclusive and provides opportunities for those who have not traditionally been included in learning.
He has a background in industrial relations, recruitment and selection as well as training and development, and has been a lecturer within the Community Learning section at Shetland College since 2005, providing learning at some of the college’s rural learning centres and then concentrating on the provision of core skills at the college building in Lerwick. He is also the Shetland College branch secretary for EIS-FELA.
Outside of work he has an active involvement in a variety of voluntary and community groups.
